A message from the President
Welcome to the Rotary Club of Uptown Cagayan de Oro’s web log. As Club President for Rotary year 2008-2009, I encourage everyone to develop a daily habit of viewing the blog and using our yahoo group e-mail address in communicating with fellow Rotarians. This habit will keep us always in the milieu of Rotary and instill in us the core Rotary mission of service above self. Please be reminded again of the urgent need to fight the menace of self absorption. Our involvement in Rotary is a win-win situation for our own selves and our community. In fellowship we enjoy each others company and expand ourselves. Through our projects we translate the noble ideals of Rotary into concrete service to others - - which in truth is every man’s true calling. The year that passed was a very productive year, positive proof of the power of collective effort. May our collective efforts perpetuate and MAKE DREAMS REAL!!! . . for this year and in the years to come.
